PEER GROUP BANK ANALYSIS

  • Create a custom peer group  "Bank Set" to analyze
  • The peer group  "Bank Set" will include all banks in between the minimum and maximum $ or % you select for the variable you select
  • For example, you could create a set of banks with past due loans greater than 2% of its total loans or you could create a set of banks with total assets between $200,000 and $500,000

  • After you create the custom peer group "Bank Set", go to the selected analysis to compare the "Bank Set" to any individual bank in the United States.
  • Add
  • "Custom Data" A quarterly bi-variable analysis and scatter graph
  • The variables are independent from variable used to create the peer group "Bank Set"
  • "Financial statements", including balance sheet and income statements
  • "Loans" including portfolio composition and past due information
  • "Liquidity" analysis, including loan to deposit, volatile deposits, securities information
  • "Waterfall" Income analysis
  • "What if" Pro-forma analysis

Create your own pro-forma financial statement for any bank by modifying variables such as growth rate, net interest income & expense, non interest income & expense and loan loss provision

  • Choose the primary data type to analyze (ie ROA, Total Assets, etc)

  • Optionally, you may limit the banks by:
  • State or group of states
  • A specific list of banks you choose

  • Alternatively, you may create a bank set based on the top number of banks based on a variable you determine.

  • For instance you could create a set of banks to analyze based on the top 20 banks with the highest Return on Assets (ROA), or the top 10 banks with the largest percentage of past due loans to total loans.
